We have Endian Firewall and we want enable smtp proxy as a replacement of our antispam appliance. I just want to ask if we enable smtp proxy, will it consume a lot of resources?

SMTP is for outgoing mail.  Pop3 is for incoming mail.  Not it does not consume a lot of resources.  It will only block messages which include viruses and mark the spam as spam in the subject line.
